What is STEM?
STEM is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. STEM education is an interdisciplinary approach to learning that provides hands-on practice and experience to students by stimulating their critical thinking, problem solving, and collaborative skills.
Increased use of student-centred learning (SCL) approaches will help prepare students for labour market in a better way.
Establishing STEM centres
STEM centres of excellence will sustain the trainings for lecturers and connect universities with local high schools and companies.
Integrating professional competencies and industry input in curricula and study programmes will ensure real change.
